SECRET VILLAGE

Near where I live are loads of Caravan Parks. Some of the bigger ones are larger than the village they sit next to yet aren't properly marked on maps.

I would like the opportunity to interview owners of static caravans to find out how they feel about home and turn it all into a short film.

Visiting a caravan that is permanently in one spot (and thus negating their one unique quality), strikes me as odd, but understandable. I tend to holiday in different places rather than re-visit the same one endlessly.

  • Do the owners feel more at home when on holiday?
Would they live in the area full-time if it were possible?
Do they feel a sense of community with either the settlement nearby or with the other 'van owners?
Do they decorate the 'van with "cast off" ornaments from their other (real?) home? How do they feel when setting off on a Friday night to visit the 'van for a weekend?
  • Do they have favourite haunts?
