WHAT'S WRONG (WITH DAVE BEECH)

Dave Beech curated a show at the Trade Apartment in Brixton during the last quarter of 2001. All submissions were to be a text based response to the question "What's Wrong?". He told me he was going to call it "Are You A Communist Andy?" after a question asked of Warhol. He's sincedenied this, so it could be his memory. Or mine. The weird thing about the show was that people were asked before 9/11, but the show opened after that day. I suspect a good deal of the pieces shown were re-thought. As it happens, mine wasn't. It consisted of 100's of gold-wrapped Fortune Cookies. Inside were fortunes that I had written. Roll your mouse over an image below to find out what I mean.
